How does the model rate teams?
Every team has a rating that updates after every game. Beat a strong side and your rating goes up a lot. Beat a weak side and it barely moves. Lose and it drops. It's a live measure of how good a team actually is, based purely on results — not reputation.

How do we predict results?
We take the rating difference between two teams and run it through a proven statistical formula to give each side a win probability. We add a home advantage boost and calculate draw probability based on how evenly matched the sides are.

What is "value edge"?
If our model says a team has a 50% chance, fair odds are 2.00. If a bookmaker offers 2.40, they're paying more than the true probability warrants. That gap — expressed as a percentage — is the edge. The bigger the number, the better the value.

We pull live odds from multiple UK bookmakers via the Odds API and always display the best available price across the market for each outcome. The bookmaker name shown is where that best price is available.
